Life is starting to smooth out, I'm starting to feel more and more comfortable with where I am and who I am. I still miss the people who were very important from me who removed themselves from my life, but was always their choice. My sweet kitty is my best friend and a blessing, not to mention the only boy allowed into the inner sanctum of my life. ;) We are all the same in the good times, in bliss and relaxation. But I think that it's what you do with the hard times in your life, how you deal with frustrations, pain, anger and fear that defines who you are. So I painted some mountains in my scrapbook. And instantly felt better.

...is what you get when you go back home to texas for the weekend and stuff yourself full of a friend's awesome ribs and sausage and artichoke and homemade salsa and swedish baby (it's like a super flat, puffy french toast) and cheese and crackers and grapes. then top it all off with a margarita. i spent all sunday eating chicken and crawfish with my mom until i had to roll my royal belly pooch out the door and to the lovely austin airport. truly glorious. my cat complains every night that i left him at home. i swear i'm getting back to work this week. no better way to pack on the pounds than to eat a crap ton for 2 days straight, then let

is what all of this feels like...all i've been doing is eating, drawing, and playing videogames. i feel like my whole first paycheck has gone towards food, rent, and my new Xbox360. oh well. it's nice to be able to focus on learning, since i still don't really know anybody out here. i've been wrestling on a daily basis with my art demons, and i hope the work that results is finally paying off. feels like i'm birthing an art whale, trying desperately to get better. been stressed out over the fact that my livelihood now on depends on catching up to my coworkers, who have all set the bar so incredibly high. how else can i afford my exorbitant b
